The Whittlesey Charity stands as a living legacy of community generosity spanning over 400 years. Established through gifts of land, property, and funds bestowed upon our town since the 17th century, we continue to support and enrich the lives of Whittlesey residents through grants, community spaces, and local initiatives.
What We Do
The Whittlesey Charity provides grants and support across four key areas:
- Church initiatives
- Relief in Need
- Education
- Public Purpose
We also manage community spaces including North and South Green and a meeting room at the Town Hall, available for community events and private hire.

The Whittlesey Charity offers financial support to qualifying individuals, groups, and initiatives within our community. Applications are reviewed by our trustees during regular meetings. To apply for a grant, complete an application form and your application will be sent directly to our clerk for processing.
